BLE Configuration App – User Guide

Transight devices can be configured using the Bluetooth Configurator application available on your mobile phone. Our 4G devices come with built-in Bluetooth functionality, allowing seamless wireless configuration.

The application is supported on both Android and iOS platforms:

1. First Setup

  • Open the BLE Configuration App.
  • Create a user account by entering a username and password.
  • Log in using the created credentials.

  • From the list of nearby available devices, select your device.
  • Click on the device name and enter the password to customize your device.
    • Default password: Transight
  • Go to Device DetailsSecurity Window to change the device name and password.

2. Configuration

  • Navigate to Create Custom Configuration and input the required details:
    • APN Settings
      • Set the appropriate APN for your SIM/network provider.
    • Server Settings
      • Set the Server IP or URL.
    • Data Update Rate
      • Set the update rate for both IGN ON and IGN OFF conditions.
    • Serial Data Configuration (Fuel Sensor)
      • Select the Fuel Sensor Model
      • Choose the Mode of the sensor
      • Select the Data Format
      • Set the Update Interval for fuel data
    • 1-Wire Sensors Configuration
      • Enable 1-Wire Communication
      • Select the appropriate Sensor Model
    • Deep Sleep Option
      • Enable this feature to activate deep sleep mode when the vehicle is halted
  • Save the configuration with a custom name.
  • Go to Change Configuration and apply the saved configuration to the device.

3. Security Features

  • Factory Reset: Use this to delete all existing configurations from the device.
  • Device Restart: To Reboot the device.
  • OEM Troubleshooting: Enable this to allow remote configuration or troubleshooting by Transight.

  • You can update the device firmware directly through the Configuration App.

  • Tap on Device Status to view real-time information on:
    • Device Connectivity
    • GNSS (GPS) Status
    • GSM Signal
    • I/O Changes
