Introduction to the product
Automotive relays are the common type of electromechanical relay that are used in all types of vehicles, like car, trucks, vans and trailers. They enable a small current flow circuit to control and operate a higher current circuit in vehicular applications and can be used with various solutions and provide useful use cases.
Configuration guide
This guide provides the configuration steps for Immobilizer relay with Transight Telematics devices using commands.
• Command Format
SET CUIOCFG:<IO Number>-<IO Mode>-<IO Function*>
• Example
SET CUIOCFG:IO1-DO-IMB*
• Expected Response
IMEI: 862942074896945 Command: SET CUIOCFG:IO1-DO-IMB* Response: Error : 0
• Verification Command
GET CUIOCFG
• Expected Verification Response
IMEI: 862942074896945 Command: GET CUIOCFG Response: CUIOCFG: IO1-AN-GEN*IO2-DI-GEN*IO3-DO-IMB Error : 0
• Immobilizer ON/OFF Commands
SET CUIMOB:ON SET CUIMOB:OFF
• Immobilizer check Command
GET CUIMOB
• Expected Response Format
IMEI: 862942074896945 Command: GET CUIMOB Response: IMOB:OFF Error : 0
Immobilizer Scenario
The immobilizer relay operates through the Digital Output (DO) function of the Transight Telematics device. The general-purpose I/O pins are multiplexed and configurable. The pin configuration for the immobilizer is provided below.
The immobilizer will only activate when the following conditions are met at the time of sending the command:
1. Vehicle ignition is OFF, or
2. Vehicle ignition is ON and GPS fix is active, or
3. Vehicle ignition is ON and vehicle speed ≤ 10 km/h.
