Standard Test Reference

This Standard Test Reference is designed to help new users become familiar with Transight Telematics Fleet Management devices and efficiently test their basic functions using simple, step-by-step instructions. Additionally, this guide provides in-depth information on specific use cases, advanced features, and software solutions.

Device Preparation

This section outlines a structured testing protocol aimed at familiarizing you with Transight Telematics devices. It covers all essential procedures required for device commissioning, including SIM card installation, powering up, and ensuring the successful transmission of GNSS tracking data from your vehicle to the server.

  • Telematics device (with all included accessories).
  • A registered SIM card with the necessary IP/URL and SMS whitelisting, compatible with your specific Transight device.
  • A power supply unit capable of providing a voltage range of 9 to 90 VDC.

Setup

  1. Remove the case of the device.
  2. Insert the compatible SIM card.
  3. Close the device case securely.
  4. Connect the device to the harness wire, then attach it to the power supply (9V to 90V).

Basic Device Configuration

We offer two methods to configure the Discovery 4G Advanced:

  1. Commands Through SMS
  2. Bluetooth App

SMS Configuration

  1. Send the command to the MSISDN inserted in the device.
  Command: SET CUENIP:1.1
  1. Send the following command with your server's IP/URL:
  Command: SET CUURL:TCP:(IP):(Port)
  1. Verify if the data is being delivered correctly by checking your server.
  2. To configure the data update rate in motion mode, send the following command:
  Command: SET:CUUR:(in seconds)
  1. To configure the data update rate in halt mode, send the following command:
  Command: SET:CUURT:(in minutes)
  1. To configure the data update rate in sleep mode, send the following command:
